Branhorst-MEC Limited.

Branhorst-Mec limited successfully engineered and implemented a comprehensive CO2 recovery and purification system at Rite Foods’ production facility. This turnkey project addressed the critical need to capture and repurpose CO2 emissions, aligning with Rite Foods’ sustainability goals and optimizing operational efficiency.

System Components and Functionality:

CO2 Storage Tank: A high-capacity storage tank was installed to securely contain recovered CO2, ensuring a consistent supply for reuse within the facility.

Stripper: The stripper unit effectively removes CO2 from process streams, separating it from other gases and impurities.

Absorber: The absorber unit further purifies the CO2 stream, enhancing its quality for subsequent applications.

Scrubber: The scrubber unit removes any remaining trace contaminants, ensuring the recovered CO2 meets the highest purity standards.

Project Outcomes and Benefits:

Reduced Carbon Footprint: The CO2 recovery system significantly reduces Rite Foods’ greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to a smaller environmental impact.

Resource Optimization: By capturing and reusing CO2, Rite Foods minimizes waste and conserves valuable resources.

Cost Savings: The recovered CO2 can be utilized for various purposes within the facility, potentially reducing the need for purchased CO2 and lowering operating costs.

Enhanced Sustainability Profile: This project demonstrates Rite Foods’ commitment to sustainable practices, reinforcing its brand reputation.
